Artist Panel Discussion‘WITHIN YOU WITHOUT YOU’ 4:00pm, Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at Parlor Room in NARS Foundation Located 88 35Street 3FL, Brooklyn, NY 11232 Moderator: Professor John Rajchman, Columbia University NARS Foundation is pleased to announce an Artist Panel Discussion held by Professor John Rajchman who will lead a discussion with the artists of “Within You Without You“ following a presentation of their work by the curator Michelle Loh. Each of the works in WITHIN YOU WITHOUT YOU is a kind of self-portrait that investigates the essential connection between the self and society; the dynamic is played out and transformed in the connection of each work to the others and to the exhibition as a whole. John Rajchman is a philosopher who has written extensively on French philosophy and on contemporary art and architecture. He is a professor in the art history department at Columbia University where he teaches a seminar on contemporary Chinese art. He is a contributing editor at Artforum. His most recent book is “French Philosophy since 1945: Problems, Concepts, Inventions”. The exhibition WITHIN YOU WITHOUT YOU will be exhibited until May 8, 2011.
