Fini Italian Dance Festival 2017

Antonio Fini announces the 7th annual Fini Italian Dance Festival Gala, August 31, with dance companies from Rome and Bologna, and Milan’s glamorous Tabata Caldironi returning to host. The program will also feature U.S. companies with Italian or Italian-American directors. The evening will include awards: Terese Capucilli, great dramatic dancer and former principal with the Martha Graham Dance Company, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award; Marie Lorene Fichaux, who will appear in a work by Nacho Duato, will be awarded the Extraordinary Dancer Award; and young dancers Antonio Cangiano and Alessio Crognale will receive Rising Star Awards and will dance a duet by Michael Mao.
