Okinawan traditional dancer and folk singer Junko Nagahama Fisher presents "Let's Sing and Dance the Okinawan Way" at Resobox Gallery on June 23rd.

Joining Junko will be special guest performers from Okinawa, Keiko Higa and Hitoshi Kikukawa. The trio will present various music and dance pieces from Okinawa, including Ryukyuan court dance, zo dance, modern choreography, traditional folk songs, and pop songs accompanied on the Okinawan Sanshin instrument, accordion, synthesizer and Taiko drums.

More than 20 songs and dances will be presented, including Yotsudake, Chui Shi-ji-hei Mimura Udui, Ashimiji Bushi - Kendo Bushi, Nangoku Sodachi, Kanayo, Chinnuku Jyushi, Okinawa Sodachi, Paradise Urumajima, Ashibina, Hana, Niffe-debiru, Watta Shima, Kanpo-nu Kue-nukusa, Tancha Me, Kunjan Sabakui, Mashunku Bushi, Hiyamikachi Bushi, Hounen Ondo, Washita Uchina-Kensanpin, Danjyu Kariyushi, and Taiko "Hibiki" and "Nami".
