The stories of five iconic heroines from the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata

The Trinayan Odissi Dance Collective will portray stories about five iconic heroines from the Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. These five powerful female characters have been immortalized by myth and legend and idolized as ideal women. Their stories come to life through the creative genius of Guru Sri Durga Charan Ranbir in his Odissi choreography know for its richly ornamented and nuanced use of the traditional form.  The Trinayan Dance Collective is a nonprofit organization committed to creating evocative interpretations of Odissi dance through multilayered productions fused with music, storytelling and movements  within the traditional form.
