Event Description

The Teen Zine and Artist Book Festival is a celebration of writing, art, independent media, and self-publishing for all NYC teens who’ve got something to say.

Teens are invited to begin creating their own zine at free book-binding and silk-screening labs, meet other teens interested in self-publishing, swap zines, and take a Rubin Museum Teens-led museum tour with a special reading from the RMA Teens zine.

A panel of experts will discuss how independent publications are making an impact and share advice on how to create and promote hand-made publications.

The Teen Zine and Artist Book Festival coincides with the release of the first teen zine from the Rubin Museum of Art Teens program.
