The Collegiate Chorale to perform at the Verbier Festival

The Collegiate Chorale will make its seventh appearance at the Verbier Festival from July 21-27, 2014, in concerts with Charles Dutoit, Yuri Temirkanov, Marc Minkowski, and Daniel Harding. The Collegiate Chorale cherishes a rich collaboration with the Verbier Festival since its first appearance at the festival under James Levine in 2005. The Chorale is thrilled to perform once again at the festival and celebrate their shared mission for artistic excellence and inter-generational exchange through music.

July 21, 2014 - Full-length performance of Berlioz’s opera La Damnation de Faust with Ramón Vargas and Ruxandra Donose making their Verbier Festival debuts as Faust and Marguerite with The Collegiate Chorale, conducted by Charles Dutoit.

July 24, 2014 - Yuri Temirkanov conducts the Verbier Festival Orchestra and The Collegiate Chorale in an evening dedicated to Russia’s great composers, featuring Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky.

July 26, 2014 - Ingela Brimberg, Brandon Jovanovich, Evgeny Nikitin, and René Pape come together to perform Beethoven’s revolutionary opera Fidelio with The Collegiate Chorale, conducted by Marc Minkowski.

July 27, 2014 - Puccini’s Il Tabarro and Verdi’s Don Carlo (Acts 3&4) with Alexey Markov (Michele), Eva-Maria Westbroek (Giorgetta), Vittorio Grigolo (Don Carlo), The Collegiate Chorale, and conductor Daniel Harding.
