New York City’s East Village has seen an emergence of boutiques and cutting-edge lines led by Korean Americans. Thuy Lin Tu, New York University professor and author ofThe Beautiful Generation: Asian Americans and the Cultural Economy of Fashion, discusses that emergence and links to the growing global appeal of Korean design.
