The Opposite of a Fairytale: Screening & Networking Reception

Asian American Film Lab‘s Industry Spotlight Coordinator, Renee Lasher, will be moderating a special presentation of the Film Lab production arm, AAFL TV’s film The Opposite of a Fairy Tale (an official selection of Palm Springs Desert Film Society, the 39th Annual Asian American International Film Festival, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation NY Shorts Showcase, a MOCAFilm, and many more) with a fabulous panel including Larry Lee, the Executive Director of WOMANKIND, filmmaker and Film Lab President Jennifer Betit Yen, SAG-AFTRA New York Local Seniors Committee Co-Chair Elaine LeGaro, and Terrence Clowe, a member of the film’s cast! We will talk about ageism in Hollywood and have a special red carpet event for seniors who have suffered from or witnessed elder abuse. Be a part of this dialogue and help pave the way for a better tomorrow for our seniors.
