“As an artist, I want to contribute positively to raise awareness”, Vangeline says.” This piece will feature all the disposable coffee cups our dancers have been using between February and June 2015. We are hoping to show audience members how much garbage 10 people can generate by only drinking coffee over the course of 4 months. We will be campaigning for audiences to buy reusable cups at the show and commit to being part of a solution to protect the environment.”

Coffee cups are generally coated with plastic, which makes them neither recyclable nor compostable. Paper and cardboard make up over 40 percent of the solid waste sent to die in North American landfills.
