Wash n' Fold. On Cloud 9

Four Seas Players kicks off their 41st Season, Spring presentation of with a drama in two acts - WASH n’ FOLD written and directed by Patrick Lee and ON CLOUD 9 co-written by Katen Ho and Jackie Huang and directed by Jackie Huang, both in Cantonese with English subtitles.

WASH N’ FOLD – two strangers meet in a chance encounter at a laundrymat. Each reveals the burderns of their past and with this as the impetus a possible partnership could blossom. In revealing their past, a glimmer of hope is offered to help teach them that there is a purposeful life worth living and leading.

ON CLOUD 9 – A divorcee determined to raise her daughters on her own brings them from Hong Kong to New York City. She raises them to become independent and strong all the while neglecting her personal joy and happiness. The mother has a chance encounter and another shot at love with an old flame. These two lonely souls come together and sparks fly. When life offers a second chance at love, do you turn your back? Can she put down the baggage of the past to be able to accept his new love but still be able to convince her daughters to accept him? What can she do to be happy to reach her Cloud 9?
