Yale School of Drama seeks a full-time Assistant Professor Adjunct in costume design for the MFA Design Program. Responsibilities include teaching two (2) courses in costume design and execution, supervising and mentoring student work and budgeting on productions, participating in the annual admissions and student recruitment process, and supporting the co-chairs of the Design Program in developing and implementing the curriculum in design. Applicant should have significant experience as a costume designer in the professional theatre and significant experience teaching in a conservatory or other professional training environment. Applicant should also have a strongly demonstrated ability to work effectively and flexibly with a large number of staff, students, interns and other professionals representing a diversity of personalities, gender expression, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, and class. The appointment will be as an Assistant Professor Adjunct of Design for an initial term of up to three (3) years beginning July 1, 2019, renewable, and includes competitive salary with full faculty benefits.
