CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: 2013 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise

Highly accomplished young, foreign-born biomedical scientists and contemporary music professionals are invited to apply for the 2013 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise. Three $35,000 prizes will be awarded in each category.

Candidates must have been born abroad and be naturalized citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Biomedical science applicants must be no more than 38 years of age, have a doctoral degree, and hold a full-time position as principal investigators in an academic institution or other research organization.

Contemporary music applicants must be no older than 30 years of age. Instrumentalists, vocalists, producers, songwriters, and DJs are invited to apply.
