Independent Feature Film "Tomorrow Comes Today" Casting Mature Chinese Actor (NY)

Hello there,

I'm currently casting an independent feature film called "Tomorrow Comes Today" - directed by Taiwanese Director Ming Lang Chen. We are currently looking for Asian/Chinese Male Actor age 40+ to portray the main character's father. All the lines will be in Mandarin Chinese.

Tomorrow comes today' is a story about a Chinese food delivery boy, Dah-Yi, looking for his mother in New York City; through his job, he gets into all kinds of apartment buildings and listens to sounds of New Yorkers' life behind each and every door. He is finding balance between two different cultures. His neighbor, Wayne, makes a living by cleaning payphone at night. He just got dumped by his 'sort-of' girl friend and he wants is forget her. So he buys taped lessons and follows the professional instruction on 'how to forget things you don't want to remember.' They caroming off each other in the modern-day New York City and affecting each other in the proximity of everyday life without knowing it. While the real connection they both yearn for turns out to be meaningless.

SEEKING:

[CHINESE FATHER] Asian Male, age 40s - 80s; Dah-Yi's father. Even though he has moved to New York, he never tried to blend into the American culture. Has a high expectation on Dah-Yi future. All his lines will be in Mandarin Chinese. Chinese Opera/Singing ability a plus. Strong Supporting Role. Pay Scale: $100 per day, plus Meal, and Credit. (The role of "Father" is not required to be on set every day)
