Lincoln Center Corporate Fund (LCCF)

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA), one of Lincoln Center’s eleven resident organizations, serves a unique role on the Lincoln Center campus, serving as the landlord of the sprawling 16-acre complex, overseeing day-to-day operations, security, and maintenance. This also includes the management of major construction and renovation projects, space rentals, and coordination of outdoor public events. 

LCPA is also a leading arts presenter, showcasing a dynamic array of music, dance, and theatre on its stages, curating the American Songbook, Great Performers, Mostly Mozart Festival, Midsummer Night Swing, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, White Light Festival, and David Rubenstein Atrium series as well as overseeing production for the PBS series, Live From Lincoln Center.

Lastly, Lincoln Center Education (LCE), which is part of the LCPA umbrella, strives to help young people in New York develop skills in problem solving, collaboration, communication, imagination, and creativity through their engagement with the arts. In doing so, LCE works to develop teaching artists and oversees community, family, and school programming across the boroughs of New York City.

The Lincoln Center Corporate Fund (LCCF) is part of Lincoln Center’s fundraising arm, the Planning and Development department. LCCF is dedicated to raising unrestricted dollars for the eight performing arts organizations and two educational institutions on the Lincoln Center campus. The unrestricted nature of these funds permits the organizations to use them to maximum effect, which includes engaging in creative educational programming, presenting exciting new productions, and hosting free performances.

 

Reporting to the Associate Director and providing secondary support to additional LCCF staff, the Manager, Lincoln Center Corporate Fund is responsible for:

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Fundraising

  • Act as primary point of contact for the Media and Entertainment Council (MEC), the Corporate Fund’s fundraising initiative for corporate partners in the media, technology and entertainment industries
  • Coordinate 2 annual MEC meetings (catering, agendas, expenses, prepare meeting materials/packets, schedule host/speakers, minutes)
  • Work with MEC Co-chairs and members to recruit MEC members. Conduct independent prospect research, prepare letters, follow up—specific goals will be assigned
  • Track campaign progress in database

 

Event Planning

  • Manage and organize details for annual MEC Event
    • Coordinate Event Committee communication and fundraising efforts
    • Track reservations and enter registration data
    • Oversee solicitation lists and follow-up, letter templates, print and design materials
    • Maintain event operating budgets
    • Facilitate acknowledgement letters
    • Coordinate mailings and database entry
    • Serving as liaison with vendors
    • Create sponsorship proposals
  • Manage and organize details for Corporate Fund Annual Golf and Tennis Event
    • All event tasks listed above; and coordination and solicitation for silent auction

 

Donor Benefits and Constituent Support

  • Manage the communication between the Corporate Fund, the participating Lincoln Center constituent organizations, the Lincoln Center Concierge Services Desk, and donor corporations on matters pertaining to donor benefits and special requests
    • Act as point of contact and customer service representative via the Corporate Fund main line
    • Implement, distribute, and track usage of special ticketing and discount benefit offers via mailings, e-blasts, and website postings
    • Supervise Concierge Services ticketing requests
    • Guide and manage content update for LCCF website in conjunction with Digital Media team
    • Schedule site visits at corporate member offices to promote benefits
    • Support corporate site visits and tours to promote benefits as needed
  • Act as liaison with Creative Services department for certain print and design projects such as donor listing ads, Annual Report, and benefits brochure

 

Financial administration and Operational support

  • Responsible for financial breakdown and reconciliation of all budget lines annually including:
    • producing weekly contributed revenue reports for campaign and financial tracking of events 
    • ensuring all payments are coded and allocated properly
    • budgeting reconciliation with accounting
    • modifying expenditures and re-forecast on a regular basis to ensure success of fundraising campaign and goals 
    • Liaise with Development Operations team regarding database maintenance

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in special events or fundraising
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong quantitative skills and financial acumen
  • Exceptional commitment to providing a positive donor experience
  • Strong relationship building skills; demonstrated ability to interact with and provide stellar customer service to corporate executives
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends required; evening work hours will increase in the lead up to major events and galas
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Prior database experience required; past experience with Pledgemaker a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
