Leviathan Lab is an NYC based performance studio that invests in the advancement of Asian American performing Artists by featuring them in new works by Asian American writers, as well as fresh interpretations of classical plays. We are currently holding a RocketHub fundraising campaign for our inaugural production of Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, playing in April 2011.
If you've never encountered RocketHub or other crowdsourcing sites, it is a new form of raising capital for the arts that just made a national splash with the Broadway production of GODSPELL, which recently began its own crowdsourcing fundraising campaign. Rather than a few major investors, crowdsourcing depends on smaller contributions from a crowd of fans and supporters in trade from gifts from from the artist. I'm asking you today, to consider making a contribution to our production. Your funds will go toward our rental of the beautiful ArcLight theatre on the Upper West Side.
Please visit our RocketHub page and look at our trailer of the show, as well as a more complete project description and a listing of our incentives for you to contribute. We are eager to bring this show to life, and with your help, will be able to do so!
Thanks so much for your consideration. And if you can't make a contribution at this time, please forward our link along to those who you think may be able to join with us in this terrific production. Thanks!
