New York City Events
Only
When adding an event it is strongly recommended that you include
your own Event Image and type in one or several of the disciplines
as specified under the Discipline field. The Event Image
will maximize your chances of exposure and using the correct
discipline(s) will make it easier for people to find your
events.
One Week Only Per
Event Posting
There is a maximum event duration of one week per event
posting. This ensures timely visibility for your events and
better representation of events in the community at any given time.
If you have a series of events or workshops listed within one event
posting, your calendar placement only reflects the date of the
first event. Having a one week limit means that each of your events
in the series will show up in a timely manner.
How does it work? If you have a series of events, you can
add an event posting for each separate event in the series. If you
have an event that runs for more than one week, you can add a
separate event posting for each of the remaining weeks. In either
case, you also have the option of editing your event once a week or
when necessary and simply changing the dates.
This one-week
limit does not apply to performing arts festivals.
How about my events currently posted on the a4Hub? For those
events currently on the calendar that last longer than one week, we
will: - for events that have already started, give them a start
date of Tuesday, September 28th (they will run until October 5th) -
extend the date of future events to one week from their start date
- if your posting is a series of events, adjust dates to reflect
the next event in your series.
At any time, you can edit the dates and any other feature of your
events by clicking on "edit event" in the top right hand corner box
of your event's page.
Thank you for helping us make the a4Hub event calendar a popular
go-to place for events happening in the NYC Asian American artistic
community! Please do not hesitate to contact Mariko Masaoka-Drew at

Best Practices
- Be sure to add a detailed description in the Description box.
- You can spruce up your event description by adding images inside
the Description box too- click on the photo icon at the top of the
Description box to upload an image.
- In the Venue field, make sure to add the full name of the venue.
Again, this will make your event more easily searchable.
- Also, be sure to enter information in the Website and Email
fields so visitors can learn more information and contact you
directly.
- You can leave the “Organized By” field blank and it will link to
your profile, unless you are posting for someone else in which case
please provide the name of the event’s organizer (individual or
organization).
