Your Artistic Background/Mission
I am a Filmmaker currently attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, working on my thesis film with a team of enormously talented collaborators. Paper Daughters is about two Chinese sisters in 1938 who lose their mother and must face immigration through Angel Island on their own. Our aim is to bring to light the untold story of Angel Island and Chinese Immigration in a time when immigration is a heavy topic in American Society. We are currently crowdfunding to make this film a reality and are seeking patronage and support from the Asian American Community in our own backyard and nationwide. We are proud to say our crew is diverse to reflect the nature of the story, with 75% POC and 52% women! We hope you can be part of our team!
