Your Artistic Background/Mission
I am a sculptor with a special interest in participatory public art. I am most known for the Labyrinth Projects I began in 1999 at Union Square Park, New York City, that appeared on the front page of the New York Times on November 27, 2006, photographed by Shiho Fukada. One of these temporary works can be seen at East River Park just north of the tennis courts.
Your Creative Influences
Eastern philosophies and the works Tibettan monks brought to our awareness in the early 1980's along with John Cage, Alexander Calder, Pina Bausch, The Deep Listening Band...Authentic Movement and Taichi practices...direct participation with the public..each day has many creative influences.
