Rochester native, Annie Heath, received her B.A. in dance and B.S. in Environmental Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has had the pleasure of performing works by Pavel Machuca-Zavarzin, Ohad Naharin, Noa Wertheim, Sidra Bell, Andrea Miller, Barak Marshall, Amy Seiwert, Antonio Brown, Jennifer Hart, Idan Cohen, and Camille A. Brown.
Annie is currently working with Matthew Westerby Company and has also started her own project based dance company, Heath In Progress, which has performed at Massachusetts Dance Festival, Alchemical Theatre Laboratory, and Biomorphic Dance Festival. Heath In Progress is currently developing new work with her dancers in Brooklyn, NY for 2016. The working philosophy of this company is based on shifting opinions and ideas that reflect the transformative surrounding society and culture. Movers are inspired by regeneration of old contexts that are influenced by current changes and experiences.
