Janice Won is currently interim executive director for the Asian American Arts Alliance. She will serve in this capacity on a part-time basis until the executive director position is filled. A leadership coach and organizational consultant experienced in the nonprofit and corporate sectors, she was formerly senior vice president in human resources with JPMorgan Chase where she led merger integrations and transitions. At JPMorgan Chase, she co-founded and grew the Asian and Women of Color networks and was the architect of their professional development strategies. Janice frequently presents leadership programs for Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP) and coaches pan-Asian graduates of LEAP’s Executive Director Leadership Program and Emerging Leaders Program for nonprofits throughout the U.S. In addition, she works with executive leadership teams on strategic planning initiatives. Her background also includes conducting research in the area of philanthropy for CUNY Graduate Center’s Center for Philanthropy and Civil Society. Janice is a founding member and executive vice president of the Asian Women Leadership Network, a national nonprofit focused on leadership development, and previously served as a board member for the New York Chinese Cultural Center. She is a graduate of Boston University where she majored in Psychology. Janice personally enjoys vocal arts, music and photography.
