With a study foundation in Classical ballet, the last 10+ years has been researching my body movement and brain wiring in Modern and Contemporary dance with that informed beginning. Taking a cultural, somatic and physical approach towards the mission of discovering why the body reacts the way it does, I'm interested in people of different backgrounds and languages coming together to understand one another through pure movement, first. The methods that each culture uses to convey an idea during a choreographic process and in performance varies from place to place. I like to dive into, not only the dance, but the culture, language, environment and local people when understanding a new movement vocabulary.
