In your own words, what is your ethnic identity? (for individuals)
Chinese American
Your Artistic Background/Mission
Oil painter whose socially-engaged art practice invites reflections and conversations into the contradictions and the unseen present in the everyday. My present and on-going projects include "Five Cents A Can: Making Visible the Invisibles," and "Home: With and Without." The former explores the lives of those who survive on picking up cans and bottles in an affluent city like NYC. The latter explores the comfort and privacy of home that contribute to being alive, and the detriment of those without a home.
Your Creative Influences
I am influenced by what I see and experience. My day job that gives me an income allows me to see the experiences of immigrants, the working poor, and their daily struggles across ethnicity and gender. I also work with those with money. We are what we experienced and what we experience everyday.
If you are not in New York City, what are your ties to New York's Asian American artistic community?
My work is created/shown/produced in NYC regularly

How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:( ) for the full details.

Have a nice day
Thanks God bless.
