THE PUBLIC THEATER's Emerging Writer Group Now Accepting Applications!

The Public Theater is now accepting applications for the 2013 Emerging Writers Group. Through an open application process, The Public Theater will select 10 up-and-coming playwrights to join the Emerging Writers Group from January 2012 through December 2013. Through the Emerging Writers Group, The Public hopes to create an artistic home for a diverse and exceptionally talented group of up-and-coming playwrights. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes, The Public is dedicated to embracing the complexities of contemporary society and nurturing both artists and audiences, as it continues Joseph Papp's legacy of creating a place of inclusion and a forum for ideas.
