Your Artistic Background/Mission
I am a composer, clarinetist, improviser, and sound artist that employs a multimedia aesthetic integrating music, sound, performance art, and installation to explore and revisit historical narratives and people’s stories through my work.

As a clarinetist, I specialize in new and contemporary classical music (for lack of better terminology), music often written by living composers during the last 50 years, with even more of that music written mostly within the last 10 years.

As an improviser and composer, I seek to explore new sonic possibilities for the clarinet (and other instruments) through the use of various mediums including electronic transformations, non-normative timbral configurations, and new approaches to standardized performance practice.
Your Creative Influences
mixed race and critical race theory, migration and human (geographical) movement, memory/amnesia, historical narratives, and re-telling/revisionist history,
