RELAX! Alice

Spookfish Theatre Company just finished casting for their upcoming original production entitled RELAX! Alice.

RELAX! Alice is an experimental adaptation of the classic Lewis Carroll story, Alice in Wonderland, that dissects the wildly creative imagination of the troubled twenty-something year old, Alice, whose recent suicide attempt has landed her in an intensive therapy regimen with an overbearing and eccentric psychiatrist. Through her dissociative trips down the rabbit hole, we fall with Alice into the underground world of Wonderland where the strange inner-workings of her mind manifest into a variety of outlandish characters; a Cheshire cat struggling to be an actor, a choir of perverted plants, and a strange mirror image of her new "mentor" Dr. Blythe.

Relax! Alice uses various mediums to push the boundaries of visual and spatial expectations, exploring our perception of reality in a world where true human connection seems to have lost its spark.
  Relax! dives into the heartbreaking existence of a misunderstood young girl trying to find her place in today's over medicated and stereotype-driven world.
