Spookfish Theatre Company is CASTING!

Spookfish Theatre Company’s most recent work, “Pornography For The People” has been accepted to this year’s “Dream Up Festival” at Theater for the New City. Our company was recently been named as the Resident Company for Horse Trade Theater Group (Past residents include award winning ensembles such as Big Art Group, The Management, etc…), and have 3 other productions going up this year in New York City.

BRIEF SYNOPSIS: Part 1 of a trio of plays entitled “Netizens” which deals with censorship, culture and society in modern China and the worldwide web.

SEEKING:

MU ZI MEI- Asian. Female. 20-35 years old. Fiery. Lewd. An infamous Chinese sex blogger.

JOURNALIST- Caucasian. Male.  25-35 years old. A British ex-patriot and freelance journalist. British Accent preferred, not mandatory.

YI YI, - Asian.  Female.18-30 years old. Female. A Chinese “netizen” and DIY pornographer. Mysterious.

MR. LIN- Male. Asian. 25-50 years old. Chief Editor of a Chinese Cultural Media Corporation a.k.a the famous 22 year-old female prostitute and sex blogger. Will be asked to act as a woman.

3 REPORTERS- ASIAN. Male and Female. To play reporters and various other featured roles. (Significant roles.)

Auditions will be held 6/2 and 6/3. Time and Location given upon confirming appointment.
