A Peoples Night of Poetry & Music for Palestine #2

5:30 – 9PM

Join Denice Frohman & Jess X. Snow for their second community activation—threading together the voices of Palestinian writers, allies, and musicians from NYC, West Philly, and New Orleans. As they embroider a cultural front of solidarity for the liberation of Palestine, they gather for a poetry reading by Farah Barqawi, Amira al-Thawra, Cathy Linh Che, and Ladan Osman, with a special collaborative feature by Sarah Aziza and George Abraham reading letter correspondences they’ve shared since October 7th. The evening also includes: an artist talk from the La La Lil Jidar Collective discussing their photography exhibit “20 Years Behind The Apartheid Wall”, live music from Omar Ahmad, a guided meditation, and tabling with art and services for sale from several community groups:

Mil Mundos Books — A People’s Palestine Reading List
Cinémovil NYC — Zines on Revolutionary Cinema
Sumi Acupuncture — A Pop Up Wellness Clinic
Writers Against The War on Gaza – Letter Writing to Palestinian political prisoners
Mil Mundos Books will also be collecting coat and warm clothing donations for newly arrived refugees and migrants to NYC to help them through the winter.
All proceeds benefit Gazans and their families in Palestine.

Doors Open at 5:15pm, Show begins at 6pm.
Limited number of tickets also available at the door, first come first serve.
The event will be in person and livestreamed.
