She has received numerous awards, including:"21 Leaders for the 21st Century Award", Puffin Foundation Grant, Harlem Arts Alliance Award, Groundbreaking Latina in the Arts, MCAF Grant, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Official Artist of the Latin Grammys, New York City Council Citation Award for Achievement in Art, Outstanding Latina of the Year, and two New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships.
