Event Description
In celebration of the release of "Dulces" on Clean Feed Records, Kitsune Ensemble members Miki Hirose, Gary Pickard, and Billy Fox will perform with Blackbirds & Bullets on Saturday March 19 at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn.
It's a free show!
Blackbirds & Bullets combines jazz improvisation with inspirations from South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. "Dulces" was awarded five stars and hailed as a "triumph of the imagination!" by Time Out Lisbon, and CISM radio in Montreal listed the album as a top-10 international release in 2010.
The evening will open with James Ilgenfritz performing solo and chamber works at 8:00. Blackbirds & Bullets will go on at 9:30.
