Celebrating the Spring! East Asian Brush Paintingwith Sung Sook SettonMay 21, 1:00pm to 4:00pm$75 Members & Non-Members This workshop is designed to celebrate Spring, while participants experience Asian brush painting. The theme covers bamboo, Iris and some insects.

Materials (rice paper, ink, some color, brush and felt) are available to borrow for the course with $10.

Sungsook Setton has practiced ink brush painting and calligraphy for four decades. Sungsook has had twenty two solo and over one hundred fifty group shows internationally. She has received two dozen awards for her work, including twice Best of Show at the National Juried Exhibition by the Sumi-e Society of America. She conducts workshops around the US and Currently serves on the faculty of the China Institute in Manhattan and the Art League of Long Island. Sungsook’s new book “The Spirit of the Brush” will be available June 1, 2017.
