Comic Arts Workshop with Yinfan Huang

Meet New Yorker Cartoonist Yinfan Huang for a 2-hour Comic Arts Workshop. Students will learn about different comics genres and formats and how to create a quick and easy-to-read 4-panel comic from start to finish. Exercises range from making simple yet sophisticated 4-panel comics based on a prompt or theme to coloring techniques using watercolor and ink pen. Students will go home with a mini sketchbook filled with one or more finished comics they created using the skills they learned in the workshop and gain a better understanding of how to create relatable or humorous content that speaks to themselves and the people who read them.

REGISTRATION: $30, all materials included. Limited to 15 students.

Recommended for ages 13-14.
