Culture in Public Spaces: An Open Streets/Public Spaces Programming Application Webinar

Tuesday, December 12, 2023
2PM

Join NYC Cultural Affairs for a free, live webinar on how to apply for DOT’s Open Streets and Public Spaces Programming initiatives.

• The Open Streets program transforms streets into public space open to all. These transformations allow for a range of activities that promote economic development, support schools, facilitate pedestrian and bike mobility, and provide new ways for New Yorkers to enjoy cultural programming and build community.

• The Public Space Programming initiative showcases a variety of enriching activities available to help activate public spaces across the city. This program connects public spaces, such as plazas and Open Streets, with local organizations to positively engage communities. All activities are free and open to New Yorkers of all ages and abilities.

Arts, cultural, and creative organizations in the following categories are invited to attend:

• Arts, Culture, and Design – Performances such as theater, dance, and singing, crafting workshops, or other types of immersive cultural experiences.
• Learning and educational – Outdoor learning opportunities with reading, storytelling, or instructional activities.
• Production services – Stage management, A/V logistics and support of the three categories listed above.

Register by December 11.

There will be a Q&A, and attendees are also invited to submit questions in advance of the event when reserving the ticket (you will be prompted to submit questions by Eventbrite as part of the RSVP process). This event will be recorded and made available for future reference.
