Exhibition: "Closing Distances" Paintings by Arlan Huang, Cantonese Opera Dresses curated by Mee Mee Chin

With abstract paintings of silk dresses by Arlan Huang and Cantonese opera costumes curated by Mee Mee Chin, the two artists (and cousins) explore what it means to be Asian American, their relationship with each other and their own families, and how it might be possible to close the distance between generations, cultures, and viewpoints through an excavation of memory and stories infused in clothing and textiles.
