LEIMAY LUDUS: Body Conditioning Lab - Porous Body with Ximena Garnica & Andrea Jones

LEIMAY’s Artistic Director Ximena Garnica and Core Ensemble Member Andrea Jones offers in-depth opportunities to experience and investigate some of the aspects surrounding LEIMAY’s physical work. In particular, the lab will focus on the conditioning of a loose and fluid body and the cultivation of a deeper awareness of weight.
An important element of LEIMAY LUDUS is the cultivation of an alert presence: a state which can develop a body that is both ready to move and perform. Among other key concepts, the manipulation of space, time and body through the transformation of embodied images, will serve towards awakening different body conditions and qualities. When a body is in this state of constant transformation and play, LEIMAY calls this “dance.” (120 words)
