Microscopic Journey : Shuten-doji

On Friday, July 25th between 8 PM and 10 PM, RESOBOX Gallery in Long Island City will host an interpretative butoh (type of Japanese dance) performance by the acclaimed Michiru Inoue, accompanied on sitar by Gian Luigi Diana and on shakuhachi (Japanese wooden flute) by KenYa Kawaguchi. The performance retells the Japanese legend of Shuten-doji, a demon leader in Japanese folklore and complements our current art exhibit “BOKUSAI” by Shoko Kazama.
