After its launch in March 2012, New City Art Fair, a boutique art fair which aspires to globalize contemporary Asian art, will return for its fourth New York edition, March 5-8 2015. Hosted by Hpgrp Gallery in Chelsea, just two blocks from the Independent art fair, this edition will exclusively present Japanese exhibitors. Its opening day will conclude that evening with a public party from 7-9 pm, welcoming contemporary art enthusiasts with a traditional sake reception. On view will be works focusing on young and emerging Japanese artists accessible to new and seasoned collectors alike, in media ranging from painting, drawing, and photography, to sculpture, and mixed-media constructions. A special presentation by Pola Museum Annex, an influential Japanese institution dedicated to young artists, will be joined by New York/Tokyo’s Hpgrp Gallery, Tokyo galleries B-gallery, Einstein Studio, Gallery Kogure, and 92art Studio; Nagoya’s Lad Gallery; and Sapporo’s Gallery Monma & Annex.
