NEW YORK THEATRE BALLET presents Dance on a Shoestring

New York Theatre Ballet presents Dance on a Shoestring on Friday, May 17, 2013 and Saturday, May 18, at 7pm at The Dance Gallery, 30 East 31st Street, 5th Floor, NYC. Tickets are $15 and must be paid via cash or check at the door. Please reserve your seats in advance by registering at nytb.org.

Dance on A Shoestring is New York Theatre Ballet’s popular studio series, which enables established and developing artists to try out new ideas in front of an audience. The performances are designed to allow community groups to see high quality ballet offered at affordable prices.

This popular and affordable program in the series includes David Parker & The Bang Group, Antony Tudor’s Dark Elegies, the premiere of Fantasy by NYTB company member Philip King, and Richard Alston’s Light Flooding Into Darkened Rooms. The work presented this season will be a combination of classic ballets, new works, and popular NYTB productions. Following the performance, NYTB will host a wine toast to celebrate the season.
