I will be presenting “Our water, once radioactive, will wither us… A tale of New York.” by Betty T. Kao at Bowery Poetry Club. A butoh inspired piece w/ puppetry & spoken word narrative at SUBMERGE on Monday the 23rd at 7pm. SUBMERGE is a political performance series that foregrounds the work of artists who have been marginalized because of their politics or identities. Also, it is a showcase for art activism alums run by the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics & performers and activists from NYC’s diverse artistic communities.
