Vietnamese Traditional Music

IVCE is pleased to announce the performance on Vietnamese Traditional Music. Dr. Phong Nguyen, NEA National Heritage Fellow, will lead a group of outstanding artists in a unique program of Vietnamese folksongs, traditional music, royal music and dance, poetry chants, and cải lương “Vietnamese opera”. The troupe have been giving national and international performances on stage and on TVs. The audience will have an opportunity to connect with the country’s most creative art in both traditional and contemporary perspectives. Time: 2 – 4pm. Sunday November 13th, 2011.
