"Brought Up" Staged Reading

The Performance Project at University Settlement is pleased to present a staged reading of 2023/24 Artist in Residence Kenneth Keng’s “Brought Up”. Join in on Saturday, February 24 @ 7:30pm for a first look at this interactive and immersive new work as audiences join the crew of the battleship Dakilang Mandirigma as it defends the planetary settlement of Nueva Manila. Will you choose to fight, or can choosing kindness lead to a new path?
‘"Brought Up" is about people at war figuring out how to stop shooting despite their governments forcing them to fight, and then afterward, how to forgive one another in time to heal and build a community.‘
