"High Tide" @ Dumbo Arts Festival

High Tide A magical art installation and performance piece by Lucia Warck-Meister for the Dumbo Arts Festival in which musician -Kyoko Kitamura- and dancers - Megan Ward, Sarah Pope and Korhan Basaran, choreographed by Mark Lamb- perform with 7’ spheres and respond to the river’s ebbs and flows. Representing the tide rising and receding, the giant bubbles appear as if deposited at shore by the river’s turbulence, giving the “musical genies” of the river time to perform before being swallowed again by the deep sea. The performance will take place everyday from 9/24 (Fri) through 9/26 (Sun), at 3pm, and lasts for 10 minutes. The impressive spheres will be left on display between performances.
